Auchan Portugal Launched Food Traceability By TE-FOOD

Auchan Portugal launched TE-FOOD’s traceability system for the first product in its Filiéres product line. The Alface Roxa Vida Auchan fresh salad is the first in the line of products which are planned to be included later.

The launch is part of Auchan’s multiple country roll-out of its blockchain based traceability program.

TE-FOOD assisted Auchan to collect data directly from the suppliers, and store them on the FoodChain’s decentralized ledger.

The solution provides valuable exposure for Auchan Portugal’s suppliers to get in front of the eyes of consumers, and introduce themselves. This kind of visibility was formerly not accessible for them.

The collaboration between Auchan and TE-FOOD started in 2018, and has an ambitious roll out plan for the coming years.
