The RVS-N solid-state analog soft starter, designed for use with standard low to medium rated AC motors, features adjustable acceleration and deceleration, adjustable initial voltage and current limit. Options include bypass-after-acceleration, circuit breaker and control transformer.
Designed for applications where across-the-line starting and economy are prime considerations, the unit employs three wires in, three wires out, with five potentiometers for adjustment. It compact, protected chassis provides diagnostic lights, end-of-acceleration auxiliary and fault contacts. Motor protection includes electronic overload, phase loss and heat sink overtemperature.
The soft starter is available in NEMA 1 and 12 enclosures at ratings of 2.5–60 hp, 230 VAC; 5–125 hp, 460 VAC; and 7.5–150 hp, 575 VAC. Additionally, the starter is rated at 30 starts per hour.
