AMV and FMC Form Strategic Business Relationship

Advanced Machine Vision Corp. (Medford, OR) has announced that its SRC Vision, Inc. subsidiary has formed a strategic business relationship with FMC Corp., a producer of chemicals and machinery, including equipment for materials handling, food processing and other major industrial applications.

As part of the relationship, FMC will undertake to sell AMV's products in selected geographical areas worldwide.

William J. Young, AMV's chairman, president and CEO, said: "The relationship with FMC will give AMV the opportunity to present its capabilities and technology to a much broader base of customers in food processing and other markets." Young also stated that AMV and FMC would continue to explore additional ways to realize further benefits from the alliance.

Marc T. Giles, general manager of FMC's Food Systems and Handling Division, stated: "With our recent acquisition of strategic businesses, we have built our food processing operations into a multi-capabilities supplier with expanded global markets. Our ability to combine AMV's superior machine vision technology with FMC's product handling capabilities will enable us to address a broader range of customer quality requirements."

FMC Corp. produces chemicals and machinery for industry and agriculture. Its machinery and equipment business provides specialized machinery to food and other industries.

Advanced Machine Vision Corp. designs, manufactures and sells standard and CE compliant vision systems. Its operations are comprised of two wholly owned subsidiaries, SRC VISION, Inc. and Ventek, Inc., both utilizing proprietary image-processing technologies.
