Amplas, Inc.
Amplas started as a dream shared by Dave Linsky, Bob Wech, and Giles Blaser on May 28, 1979, in a small, rented facility. Amplas partnered with a French machine manufacturer to electrically convert and sell their machines in the American market. Soon, Amplas engineers were improving the machines and then began creating new ones. The first Amplas sideweld machine was built in 1981.
Don Pansier and Apollo 2000 Ltd. joined the Amplas corporation in 1982 to machine all manufactured components. Amplas thus gained total control of process and quality.
In 1987, Amplas entered into an exciting partnership with the leading stand-up pouch-making machine manufacturer, the Totani Corporation of Japan. Amplas is Totani's exclusive sales and service representative in the Americas.
In 1999, Amplas obtained rights to manufacture and sell Hensen Pouch Filling machines in the Americas. These machines, designed in Germany, and manufactured and assembled at our Green Bay, Wisconsin headquarters are the perfect companion line for Totani Pouch making equipment.
