Agrilink Foods Sells Adams Peanut Butter to Smucker
Agrilink Foods, Inc. (Rochester, NY), a wholly owned subsidiary of Pro-Fac Cooperative and The J.M. Smucker Company (Orrville, OH) have completed the sale of the Adams brand peanut butter business to Smucker. Terms of the transaction were not announced.
Adams natural and no-stir peanut butters are market primarily in the northwestern part of the U.S. and in western Canada.
The J.M. Smucker Company is a producer of branded preserves, jams, jellies, health and natural food beverages, ice cream toppings and natural peanut butter.
Agrilink Foods processes and markets a variety of product lines branded, private label and food service products in facilities located throughout the U.S. Pro-Fac Cooperative, an agricultural marketing cooperative, processes fruits, vegetables and popcorn through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Agrilink Foods.
