For companies investing in marketing that portrays a natural product image, having the right label can mean all the difference between success and failure. To put it more simply, if a company is marketing their product as environmental friendly, the label needs to match the message to satisfy a more aware customer.

Lightning Labels says having labels that match the overall natural ingredient campaign is crucial to gain customer loyalty that will turn them into returning customers.  Equally important as the recyclability of the label is the on-pack message on the label itself. This space should be used to inform the customer as to what kind of impact the entire package has on the environment and how to properly recycle the package/label in a safe manor after consumption.

Many of these materials being developed for labels are biodegradable, compostable, and made from different base materials such as stone instead of paper.
