Krones: Innovation And Service At Emballage

Germany-based Krones Group plans, develops and manufactures machines and complete lines for the fields of process, filling and packaging technology. The company’s product portfolio is rounded off by corporate capabilities in intralogistics, information technology, factory planning, and in-house valve manufacture.

Krones lines are used particularly in breweries, the soft-drinks sector and at by producers of still or sparkling wines and spirits, but also in the food and luxury-goods industries, as well as the chemical, cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries. At the Emballage trade fair Krones will present the newest machinery developments at stand  4 A 029. Elisabeth Skoda reports.

"As a complete line provider, Krones has become a turnkey supplier for its customers. We predominantly present the latest labelling, filling and packaging technology at Emballage, with a particular focus on our lifecycle service, which includes spare parts, fittings, upgrades, maintenance programmes, repairs, concepts for increasing line efficiency and solutions for line surveillance," a Krones representative explains.

Emballage is an ideal place for Krones to network with customers and business partners.

"International packaging fairs inform visitors about a complete range of products in the packaging industry, ranging from packaging machines up to services such as marking, coding, labelling and print. The trade fair offers the opportunity to meet many customers in a short time. It is a great opportunity to build customer contacts and to extend and deepen existing business relationships and partnerships."

A stand at a trade show should be both inviting and functional, and Krones achieves this mix through well thought through stand design.

"There are two main focus points when planning and coordinating a trade fair stand: On the one hand, it is important to find a distinctive face for every appearance, which stands out from the crowd and attracts the customer as he steps into the hall. It has to be friendly and inviting and ideally recognisable, and make regular customers feel at home."

Krones puts high value on presenting information in an optimal way.

"A trade fair stand has to function well, and this is the second very important aspect. At big, international trade fair people from all over the world come together, exhibitors as well as visitors. They have to find their way around and be able to quickly identify topics - sometimes even topics they may not even know themselves that they are interested in. So information has to be conveyed in an economical way. Core messages have to be communicated quickly and strikingly, and detailed information can be dealt with in dialogue on stand."

Smooth behind the scenes operation is also key for a successful stand.

"Complex procedures in the kitchen, in logistics as well as directing and monitoring a bigger stand team are important. Only when all aspects of a trade fair stand have been adapted to a harmonious whole and everything works smoothly, the appearance will be a success. Exciting content, however, remains the most important factor," a Krones representative concludes.
