FSMA Fridays: FSMA's Final Rules — What You Should Do To Prepare Now (Part One Of Three)

Source: Safety Chain Software

Safety Chain’s Barbara Levin discusses what’s not going away with the FDA’s Food Safety Modernization Act and what food-producing companies should begin doing to prepare for it with the Acheson Group’s Jennifer McEntire and Valerie Scheidt.

On the last Friday of every month, SafetyChain, a leading provider of food safety and quality assurance automation and compliance solutions, hosts FSMA Fridays™, the leading online forum for the food and beverage community to learn the latest information about the FDA’s Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA). Featuring Dr. David Acheson, the popular monthly interactive pod/webcast is sponsored by SafetyChain Software and The Acheson Group.

Barbara Levin: Good morning, everyone, and welcome to FMSA Fridays and our November topic, what's not going to go away in the final rules, and what you should be doing today to prepare. I'm Barbara Levin. I will be your host today for our FSMA Friday. As always, we have a very simple agenda today. We're going to first present our pre-submitted questions to our panel. We're then going to take a moment to tell you how SafetyChain can help you get FSMA ready, and then we'll take questions from the audience.

We're very excited to have Jennifer McEntire (VP and Chief Science Officer at the Acheson Group) and Directors of Food Safety at the Acheson Group Anne Sherod and Valerie Scheidt joining us today, so welcome. We're going to just jump right into it with you, Jennifer. Perhaps, before we get into the questions on today's topic, you can announce what are the latest updates from the FDA on FSMA.
