Metal Detector Endures The Flames
May 11, 2010
Over the weekend a fire broke out at a Parton Lumber Company plant, fortunately no one was injured. Equipment caught in the blaze included a Fortress Phantom Metal Detector. Despite the hostile environment surrounding the Detector, the power remained on, and the control panel was still running. The image links below show the damage caused by the fire [for example the destroyed aperture and frame – dents in the Detector were previously caused by logs being dropped]. Furman Parton, Owner of Parton Lumber, said "We have definitely put this detector to the test and it has passed with flying colors."
Considering the simple operation, exceptional performance, and now having seen the outstanding reliability of the Detector; the company has since placed another order for a replacement unit. Ideally suited for scanning whole logs and for chipper protection, the Phantom Lumber Metal Detector is a large scale metal detection solution built rugged specifically for the lumber industry.
Fortress has proven protection. Guaranteed.
