Vigilistics Announces Certified Equipment Cleaning For Food Safety

All Cleaning Steps Can Be Monitored in Real-Time and Audited

Mission Viejo, CA - Vigilistics, a company serving the dairy and food processing industries, announced the Vigilistics CIP Management Module for enforcing best practices for cleaning the equipment that is used in food processing. Vigilistics translates plant CIP automation data into a detailed S-88 batch process model of the clean-in-place circuits and the processing equipment, tracking every clean-in-place operation. Real-time analysis and notifications are used to maintain best practices and to alert management of any anomalies, such as incorrect operator actions, equipment malfunctions or data problems. The resulting cleaning records are maintained in secure auditable form for presentation to regulatory authorities.

"The Vigilistics system provides a real-time independent audit of the cleaning operations," said Craig Nelson, founder of Vigilistics. "In the event of an incorrect cleaning operation, Vigilistics can notify management within a few seconds of the event and track the potential contamination to the exact lots that may be affected. Plant managers can take corrective action to minimize the impact because they are aware of a problem as soon as it happens."

Vigilistics already monitors and records CIP compliance for FDA and Department of Agriculture inspections at customer food processing plants. The Vigilistics CIP Management Module adds real-time analysis and notifications, to enforce best practices and to assure food manufacturers and their customers that cleaning operations were properly done.
