PLC-controlled in-line fillers

Barry-Wehmiller Zepf's new generation of PLC-controlled, CE approved, in-line fillers are operator friendly, with minimal maintenance requirements. The new fillers are suitable for numerous applications including house-hold, personal care, and automotive products, as well as wine/spirits, foods, chemicals, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals.

The fillers have their own automatic level controlled product tank with output speeds ranging from as low as 5 containers per minute up to over 60 containers per minute. Output speeds are dependent on container size and product to be filled.

The machines are available in two stainless steel frame sizes, designated "junior" and "senior", which extend to form supports for the polycarbonate fully-interlocked safety guards. The rigid machines can have varying numbers of filling heads from 2-6 on the smaller machine and 6-10 on the larger. Quick release filling heads are mounted on a screw driven cross head assembly, which controls the raising and lowering of the filling heads to the bottles. With this motion, Barry-Wehmiller Zepf can offer, in addition to the standard type filling heads, a diving type filling head for bottom-up filling. This diving filling head is suitable for handling difficult foaming products.

An integral 3-1/2m length of driven conveyor is included and is available in widths of 3-1/4", 4-1/2", or 6" delrin or stainless steel slat chain. All parts in contact with the product are manufactured in stainless steel and reinforced food quality flexible product hose. The machine also includes a no-bottle/no-fill device.

Available filling systems include low and adjustable vacuum, volumetric, level sensing, and flowmeter. CIP (Clean In Place) is available on all of these filling systems.
