Mutivac Unveils I 410 Visual Inspection System For Food Industry

Mutivac Marking & Inspection has unveiled a new I 410 visual inspection system for food industry.

The automatic inspection solution features high-resolution and height-adjustable line scanners, helping to achieve reliable marking and quality inspection from above and below.

Mutivac’s space-saving inspection system offers flexibility to use as a stand-alone solution at the end of a packaging machine or it can be incorporated seamlessly into a line.

The I 410 system will be used for complete checks on the packs, including presence and position inspection of the labels.

Mutivac’s inspection system is suitable for checking the print, comprising of pattern and character recognition, character verification and inspection of legibility and codes.

The system’s progressive image-capturing technology will transmit good images in high resolution and verify at the highest speeds within the packaging procedure.

The system is installed with a separate transport conveyor, and packs can either be fed in manually or shifted from an upstream transport unit.

Compressed air is not required to operate the inspection system, as the motorised ejection device allows to consistently eject rejected packs.

The system is operated with the support of Mutivac HMI 2.0 platform. It is centrally controlled through the control terminal of the packaging machine, where the unit is installed in a packaging line.

Mutivac line control helps to achieve efficient line integration, as well as enables to carry out quick product changes.

The inspection results can be shifted to the line-motion control of the Multivac machine to detect rejected products and ejected from the line.

Mutivac Marking & Inspection product manager for inspection systems Stefan Korf said: “Thanks to its modular construction, the system offers users a high level of flexibility as regards the use of different ejection options or visual inspection modules such as cameras, barcode readers or sensors.

“This means that the I 410 can be designed precisely to the specific requirements of the particular business.”
