Mobile Flexible Screw Conveyor From Spiroflow Systems Well-Suited For Multiple Conveying Applications And Product Blending In A Variety Of Process Industries
Charlotte, NC - A mobile Flexible Screw Conveyor for diverse and multiple product applications and material blend ratios in a variety of process industries such as food, chemical and building products is now available from Spiroflow Systems of Charlotte, N. C.
Designed with the operator in mind, the Spiroflow Mobile Flexible Screw Conveyor is easy to maneuver by a single operator. An "on-board" control panel can be pre-programmed for ease in control, especially in tight spots. Locking wheels offer added stability and safety.
Like all Spiroflow Screw Conveyors, the mobile conveyor's only moving part is a motor driven spiral that rotates within a sealed tube to gently move material with degradation and risk of mixed product separation. The result is a system with a low installation cost that is high in efficiency and performance.
Any risk of dust contamination or contamination from humidity in the atmosphere is for all practical purposes eliminated since the conveying system is totally sealed and uses gravity instead of air as the conveying medium. This feature is critical when used in food or pharmaceutical applications.
An ITS inline two screw continuous proportional blender assures thorough and continuous mixing and remixing of the material flow for about three feet (one meter) by the larger spiral to the discharge outlet. A secondary ingredient can be fed into the center of the primary ingredient flow for blending. Little or no particle breakdown occurs during mixing, even on friable materials. Accuracy is 2%, depending on the material or application.
The blender is steplessly adjustable for any blend ratio and is designed for use with any free flowing powder, granular, flake or pelleted material. This is particularly important when feeding pre-mixed product to the packaging or tab letting machinery.
Other features include a mix quality equal to more expensive batch equipment, a short process length that minimizes the size of the unit to save on floor space and simplify overhead installation and the ability to blend two or more components of similar or greatly differing particulate size or density.
To accommodate speeds of up to 10,000 cubic feet per hour, a variety of different tube diameters and lengths are available to exactly match plant requirements.
For maintenance, the UHMVPE tube and steel spiral tube easily disassembles for cleaning to minimize downtime and reduce any risk of contamination.
