Meyer Industries And Kofab Merge To Form New Firm PFI

US-based food conveying businesses Kofab and Meyer Industries have merged to create a new company – called Precision Food Innovations (PFI).

The firm will operate as the food division under the umbrella of Precision, an employee-owned manufacturer and distributor of conveyor products and solutions founded in 1977.

Kofab currently manufactures custom-designed food equipment and specialises in stainless steel equipment for bakery, dairy, candy, meat, poultry and pharmaceutical processors.

Meanwhile, Meyer manufactures a range of equipment including vibratory conveyors, bucket elevators, hopper-feeders, bulk box filling, mix-blend systems, hydrostatic steam blanchers and hydrochillers.

PFI senior president Greg Stavers said: “The combined brand portfolio we are growing at PFI gives us strong exposure to the food handling equipment business, as well as an ability to reach consumers across a wide variety of channels.

“Customers can expect a smooth transition and will still be interacting with many of the same people they have come to know over the years.”

PFI said it offers “innovative and unique solutions to meet every application and has the ability to customise solutions to integrate into existing systems”.
