Larson Electronics LLC Releases A New Explosion Proof A-Frame Mounted LED Light

This new portable explosion proof LED light features a long lamp life and is built to withstand demanding conditions while providing bright illumination in hazardous locations.

This explosion proof A-frame mounted LED light features worldwide certification and is listed for use in the United States and Canada and carries IEC Ex and ATEX certificaitons. This explosion proof LED light utilizes AC LEDs paired with a heavy-duty housing and an advanced heat sink that allows for improved efficiency and thermal performance. The specially designed heat sink allows for greater surface area contact with the air, as well as, a stronger airflow rate. Because it is created for maximum thermal efficiency, it is ideal for applications in which the ambient operating temperature falls into extreme ranges, especially high heat applications. Fewer subcomponents means a lesser chance of secondary component failure. The simplified circuit system used within the AC LEDs creates greater stability and enhances luminaire lifespan. Despite the heavy-duty housing, this LED light is much lighter compared to other models.

This portable LED light is mounted on an A-frame style aluminum base that is powder-coated for corrosion resistance. The portable base stand is fabricated from non-sparking aluminum and features a carrying handle built into the top for easy transport. Housed within this A-frame base stand is an LED lamp that can be adjusted up or down 90° and locked into position by loosening the two hand screws located on either side of the light head and re-tightening once the desired angle is found. This explosion proof light comes equipped with 100' of 16/3 chemical and abrasion resistant SOOW cord that is fitted with an explosion proof cord cap for connection to explosion proof outlets. This lamp also features no driver, which means operators do not have to worry about constant driver failure.
