Flour Sieving with Kek® Centrifugal Sifters

Centrifugal sifters are typically installed in bakeries between the flour storage (e.g., silos, super sacks) and the process equipment (e.g., mixers under weigh hoppers). The sifters are required to police the flour before mixing to remove extraneous objects, such as paper and string, from bag opening operations and to deagglomerate soft lumps.
Only a third of the screen area is visible through the sifter’s side door, which prevents checking the complete screening area. The production line must be stopped to remove the screen assembly from the sifter. With a conventional, oversize end bearing sifter, this is not only time consuming, but removing the oversize end plate and taking out the screen results frequently in unwanted spillage of the flour.
Learn about this sifter that facilitates inspecting the entire screen assembly without removing it from the machine. The screen assembly is completely rotatable through the side body access door for screen inspections.
