Filtration Challenges For The Flavors Industry

The goal of flavor filtration is to achieve better clarity, microbial reduction, and protection of downstream equipment. While all separation equipment must be as selective, quality-friendly, and flexible as possible to reliably separate the different sources of turbidity, it is important that these processes don’t negatively influence or reduce quality-relevant substances.

How To Easily Scale Up Mixing Systems

When selecting mixing systems, foresight for scale-up is important for long-term success. A quick shift between systems can be the difference between economic success and a financial disaster.

Driving Smarter Decisions With Your Water Data

In this special report from Water Finance & Management and data management solutions provider OSIsoft, now part of AVEVA, we bring you some perspective on how the U.S. water utility sector has evolved — and continues to evolve — in its use and management of data.

Assuring The Safety Of Frozen Foods During A Global Pandemic
Food manufacturers must now, more than ever, choose agile processing solutions, including inspection for foreign objects, in response to changing market demands. This need for flexibility has become more evident in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has greatly impacted the global food supply chain.
Memosens 2.0: Cutting-Edge Sensor Technology Reloaded

Memosens technology has revolutionized liquid analysis technology. It converts the measured value to a digital signal and transfers it inductively to the transmitter, eliminating the problems associated with moisture. With signal alarms in the event of transmission disruption, Memosens offers safe data transfer for increased availability of the measuring point and trouble-free processes. With Memosens 2.0, measuring points become completely future-proof and ready for the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).

X-Ray Inspection Of Meat Chubs

Aluminum clips and bones in chubs can lead to consumer complaints. These low-density contaminants are usually difficult to detect, but the Anritsu XR75 X-ray system easily and repeatably finds these hazards, ensuring product quality.

Compressed Air For A Cleaner Future

For almost 200 years, the wastewater management sector in Portugal has had to face ever-increasing challenges, brought about in large part by the rapid population growth since the beginning of the industrialization process of the mid-19th century. This growth was compounded by rapid development of the textile industry in the north of the country, where many of the manufacturers are located in the region around the Ave River. See how Kaeser's turbo blowers helped support sewage plants in achieving their environmental goals.

Del Monte Installs Bulk Material Handling Equipment For Soup Production
A Del Monte plant in Mendota, IL, is responsible for producing canned soups that appear on grocery store shelves under more than 50 different brand names. Installation of a food-grade bulk bag discharging and metering system that would gravimetrically supply between 750 and 1,500 lbs of material to either of two 900-gallon stainless-steel mix tanks in 10 minutes, would not exceed 21’ in height, and could be quickly disassembled and cleaned using high-pressure hot water allows them to produce six 900-gallon batches of soup base an hour.
