Erie, PA -- Eriez announces a new and improved version of its popular Model T Magnetic Trap. According to Eriez, these enhanced models provide for more efficient metal separation, easier magnet element access and increased durability.

The redesigned Model T Trap features a drop-bolt design that allows for quick access to the magnet, helping to speed the cleaning process. The unit also features a reinforced assembly that stiffens the magnetic cage for increased long-term performance. These features, coupled with Eriez' superior magnet strength, help improve the separation efficiency of the trap across a wide variety of viscous products.

Eriez' Model T Traps remove tramp metal from paper stock and other liquids to protect refining equipment, pumps, filters and other downstream machinery from damage associated with ferrous contamination.

With their rugged welded pipe and reinforced construction, Model T Traps withstand working pressures up to 75 PSI (5.27kg/cm2), with custom designs available for unique applications. The trap bodies are made with economical mild steel but are also available in 304 or 316 stainless steel for more corrosive environments.

Eriez is recognized as the world authority in advanced technology for magnetic, vibratory and metal detection applications. The company's magnetic lift and separation, metal detection, materials feeding, screening, conveying and controlling equipment have application in the process, metalworking, packaging, recycling, mining, aggregate, and textile industries. Eriez manufactures and markets these products through nine international facilities located on five continents.
