About Us

The inevitable sterilization and preserving of foods have long been a problem well known to experts in industry, to consumer organizations as well as the authorities. For years, by means of extensive research, new technology has been developed as an alternative to the traditional but controversial methods presently used, such as radiation, gas, or chemicals.

In 1996 the first pilot plant went into operation using the Zelgerm technique. From the beginning this process showed interesting advantages over other methods:

4. Environmentally friendly
5. Economical

Since June 1999, a commercial plant in Switzerland (Pratteln, near Basle) has been operating, sometimes on three shifts, to provide contract manufacturing services and support research and development activities. The plant operations has confirmed and exceeded our performance expectations. In addition, we have continually expanded our food product line and have also added non-food products such as colorants and baby powder. Since July 2000, a commercial has been operating in Germany (Boizenburg, near Hamburg).

We have received considerable recognition, in the market, in the industry and with recognized authorities. Our customer base is rapidly expanding as new customers order, and we retain old customers with repeat orders.

The Zelgerm method has been examined and approved by recognized experts in the field. In Germany by the Institute for Social Medicine and Epidemiology of the German Ministry of Health, Berlin and in Switzerland by the Swiss Public Health Department, Bern.
