ABOUT

X-Ray Inspection
X-ray inspection is used to inspect food in order to make it safer and to ensure the quality of many different products.
Typical applications of x-ray inspection in a food-manufacturing environment include using x-ray inspection to detect metal. Inspect bottle crowns and caps, glass-in- glass detection and the detection of liquid contaminants.
X-ray inspection systems offer high sensitivity and are generally able to detect glass, bone, plastic and stone in addition to metals.
One of the benefits of using x-ray inspection includes the ability to adapt to variations in packaging. This flexibility ensures ultimate product safety.  Typical types of packaging x-ray inspection can handle include cans, glass jars and bottles, foil trays and boxes, loose products, plastic or metallized film, plastic jars and bottles, cartons and boxes, products in production pipelines.
X-ray solutions also identify and eliminate contaminants with minimal waste. This is especially important for food manufacturers. The less waste the higher the profit.  Other forms of contaminant discovery and elimination require a greater loss of product to ensure the contamination elimination is thorough.
X-ray inspection is most useful in detecting dense contaminants but is also used for a range on in-line food quality processing checks to ensure regulatory compliance and to protect a brand.
Other uses for x-ray inspection include food quality improvement. Typical uses of x-ray detection to improve food quality include bottle fill inspections, x-ray bone detection. Fat content determination and product counts. X-ray is an excellent quality check to detect empty cells in multi-pack production lines.
