The following list of equipment is divided into four sections or modules, Sterilizer, Steam Generator, Loading Containers, and Filling and Discharge Station. In its entirety the list represents all the equipment necessary to set up a stand-alone Contract Sterilization plant. The actual equipment or modules required by a Processor or Manufacturer will be based upon their manufacturing process and how the sterilization process will be integrated into that process.

Sterilizer "Zelstar I"

Basic unit:
Chamber of two doors of high-grade steel, pressure and vacuum tested
Extensions:
Double wall pipes of high-grade steel
Control panel:
Special service board, including display and transmission system
Sterilization medium:
Pure saturated steam
Loading:
At floor
External chamber dimensions:
H*W*D: 3000*4000*2340 mm
Volume of chamber:
3'800 liters (3.8 m3)
Sliding door system:
Horizontal opening. 2 Doors pass through system
Process:
Batch system for the natural sterilization (vacuum/steam/vacuum)
Protocol printer:
Printer (i.e. HP DeskJet) for external installation
Drying unit:
Filtered air ventilation system to speed the drying process

Vacuum installation with water saving system
Program transmission system to upgrade process control
Capacity (Throughput):
4 Charges per hour (~5'400 liters per hour / 5.4 m3 per hour)

Steam Generator

Saturated Steam (pure steam) System
Consisting of:

• Primary Steam Generator, Type VPX 1200 horizontal
• Water feed tank
• Blow down cooler, Type B
• Pure steam generator converter steam/steam
• Pre-heater for feed water

Water conditioning system consisting of:

• Reverse osmosis system, Type RO 640
• Softening system / half duplex transmission, Type WSD 280
• Water collecting tank
• Dosage system, Type MDZ 5

Loading Container

Patented Loading Containers (12 minimum, 16 recommended)
Consisting of:

• Stainless steel frame, electrolyte, polished
• Side guard plates of artificial material (plastic)
• 80 de-germination cylinders, outer radius 80 mm, of special steel fabrics with supporting pipe
• Detachable filling lid, filling lid with integrated emptying apron
• Fork control for fork lift truck with 360° rotation appliance
• Hose for suspension arrangement (cleaning)
• 2 fixed and 2 guide rollers
• Dimensions: L-1000mm, W-700mm, H-895mm (including rollers)
• The containers are stackable 2x2 per process

Filling & Discharge Stations

Container Filling Station
Consisting of:

• Vacuum conveyor VSP 25 S 1 Filling stand
• Filling tube station

Discharge Station
Consisting of:

• Vacuum conveyor VSP 25 S 1 Discharge stand

Storage Container Filling Station
Consisting of:

• System to fill product into different types of storage containers
