ZEPF INTRODUCES NEW SHRINK BUNDLER CUSTOM ENGINEERED FOR THE PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY.

Zepf, Inc., a Barry-Wehmiller Company, has announced the introduction of a new shrink bundler specifically geared for the pharmaceutical industry. Their new Model FA-27-DL high-speed, dual-lane shrink bundler meets all of the pharmaceutical industry's stringent regulations, plus offers a wide range of attractive features including an innovative servo-driven diverter, a servo-controlled elevating degrouping mechanism to eliminate container handling problems, plus no-tool changeover. In addition, the FA-27-DL has the capability to handle a continuous flow of 300 bottles per minute, running full or empty bottles with double outserts, and maintaining bottle orientation at all times.

Standard features include stainless steel construction, a positive film feed with dual ergonomically designed roll holders for easy film changeover, a hot knife sealing bar system to seal and cut film, and an energy-efficient heat tunnel. The FA-27-DL's positive film feed is a highly accurate method for dispensing film, thereby greatly reducing film usage and waste. With the machine's hot knife sealing bar system, there are no hot wires to break, and costly downtime is eliminated. In addition, a built-in safety system on the sealing bar assists in preventing accidents and crushed packages. PLC-controlled adjustments can be made to temperature and dwell time to allow the machine to seal both LDPE and PVC films. The new shrink bundler also features a unique free air flow system that allows hot air to circulate completely around each bundle in its heat tunnel for a tighter, more uniform shrink, resulting in less energy consumption.
