Air Detection Probe
The ADU Series air detection probe is designed to solve the problems encountered with metering whenever air is introduced into the product metering line. Mounted in front or in back of a meter and connected to electronics, the probe assures meter counts will be interrupted during displacement of air at start-up, during air blow at the end of delivery, or whenever the tank is empty and air is sucked into the product line. It can also be mounted in front of a centrifugal pump connected to a motor starter so that the pump is shut off when air is introduced into the pump inlet. When the probe is mounted in the overflow pipe of a silo and connected to the pump, the pump will be shut off when product is detected, thereby preventing overflow.
