Mosca At Seafood Processing Global In Brussels

At this year’s Seafood Processing Global in Brussels at booth P-4728,Mosca GmbH presents the first side-seal strappers that are corrosion resistant and work with Mosca’s own ultrasonic technology SoniXs. The SoniXS MS-VAand SoniXs TRS-VAmachines are further equipped with a new, exposed Standard-6 strap path, also made of corrosion-resistant material.

The machines are suited for use under extreme conditions such as dampness or with contaminated products. Since the sealing unit is located on the side of the strap guide frame rather than below it, process liquids or other foreign particles flow away without soiling it. The Seafood Processing Global will take place parallel to the Seafood Expo Global as the biggest trade fair event for the fishing industry, from 6th to 8th of May in Brussels.

The two types of side-seal strappers are suited for manual and automatical operation. SoniXs MS-VA is the manual version, while SoniXs TRS-VA works in a fully automated production line in which packages are fed automatically. “With SoniXs MS-VA and SoniXs TRS-VA we are fulfilling customer demands,” explains Adrian Ritzhaupt, Head of Product Management at Mosca. “Due to their high variability, side-seal strappers have long been successful in diverse industries. For these machines our customers can now also draw on our patented ultrasonic technology SoniXs.”

Strapping with SoniXs sealing units is not only very quick and low in emissions but also very efficient. As the system requires no pre-heating they are instantly available at all times. In addition to the SoniXs sealing unit the machines are equipped with a Standard-6 VA strap path, which is corrosion resistant. Its easily accessible, open construction makes cleaning and maintenance of the machine easier. It can be dismantled without tools and is ready for use afterwards within just a few seconds.

Clean strapping for demanding industries

The two VA-variations with their corrosion-resistant stainless steel housing work reliably even when used in extreme conditions. Due to their easy cleaning they are particularly suited for the food processing industries such as the fish and meat industries, which are characterized by strict hygiene standards and often have to deal with process fluids or perishable product residues. The compact machines reliably strap variable product sizes up to 33 times per minute, depending on product and in-feed system. They can be easily operated via keyboard and selection switches and are optionally equipped with a single or double hold-down device.
