Brother Gearmotors Continues To Expand U.S. Sales Force With Two More Regional Sales Managers

New Sales Managers for Northeast and Midwest Territories

Brother Gearmotors, a division of Brother International Corporation that offers a wide range of ultra-reliable, sub-fractional AC gearmotors and reducers for the food & beverage, packaging and material handling industries, continued its hiring spree in the U.S. by adding two more regional sales managers: William (Bill) Miicke and Larry Thomas. The company announced the addition of three other sales managers earlier this summer.

The sales managers are responsible for the growth and sales performance of their respective regions, while building a portfolio of direct OEM clients and distribution sales channels. Their focus is on prospecting and capturing market share, developing and implementing sales strategies that are aligned with corporate objectives, and working closely with product management and marketing to successfully launch strategic campaigns.

Bill Miicke’s Northeastern territory covers the states of New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Maine, Rhode Island and West Virginia. Prior to joining Brother Gearmotors, he held a variety of high level executive positions, including Vice President and CEO at Precision Fasteners. Before that, he was a Sales Engineer at Eaton-Tinerman Corporation, and held multiple sales positions with TRW’s Fasteners Division. Bill holds a B.S. in Marketing Management from Susquehanna University and resides in Warren, NJ.

Larry Thomas’ Midwestern territory covers the states of Kentucky, Michigan and Ohio. Prior to joining Brother Gearmotors, he was Account Manager at Applied Industrial Technologies. Larry resides in Fairview Park, Ohio with his wife and three children.

“In the North American market, Brother Gearmotors is in the midst of a rapid surge – one that, in addition to a new facility and expanded product line, includes the addition of talented sales representatives such as Bill and Larry,” said Matthew Roberson, Senior Director of Brother Gearmotors. “We are confident they will provide the active management, support and leadership needed to drive sales and continue to increase our customer base.”

Brother Gearmotors is one of the world’s largest fine-pitch gear manufacturers and meets industry demand for smaller, lighter, reliable and energy-efficient power transmission components. The company recently opened a U.S. assembly facility in Bartlett, TN, which houses onsite assembly of over 27,000 unique SKUs and serves as a maintenance and repair hub. The site allows Brother Gearmotors to meet customers’ needs in approximately 3- to 5-day delivery of a wide array of products, as well as provide emergency overnight delivery.

Key attributes of gearmotors from Brother include:

  • Light, reliable and compact in size
  • High torque at low speed
  • Sealed for life for maximum efficiency and reduced labor
  • Standard high-grade grease for lifetime lubrication and reduced maintenance/downtime
  • High-quality, durable, e-coat paint to withstand the toughest environments
  • More efficient than worm gearboxes as a result of hardened hypoid gearing
