The KB-400 is an automatic leak-testing machine for pharmaceutical and food processing lines, which inspects metal containers after closing or filling. It can operate at production speeds of up to 2,000 containers per minute and comes equipped with between four and 80 testing heads.

The customer can specify the minimum diameter of hole the KB-400 will detect and it can be supplied with comprehensive FDA validation documents. Their leak testing machines are available for pouches, sealed bags, tubes and containers in a wide variety of materials. Applications include leak testing for the pharmaceutical and food processing industries.

The leak test control system consists of inserting a testing head on the container to create an airtight artificial chamber. The air around the container in the testing chamber is sucked out and a controlled negative pressure is created. Specially designed sensors monitor the vacuum changes during the whole test cycle.
