Instron Corporatione Analysis System is based on the proprietary 5540 Series of single column testing systems featuring the Model 5542, a compact, easy to use, frame design tabletop system that performs tensile, deformation, shear, puncture, snap, TPA and other tests on a wide variety of foods. Food packaging testing, such as peel, tear, friction, seal strength, and others can be easily performed by simply changing test fixtures.

Texture Analysis software for Windows is fully integrated with proprietary Merlin Software, a suite of easy-to-use software programs for food testing set-up, control, data collection, result generation and report preparation. The convenient modular design of Merlin allows users to pick and choose software modules tailored to specific application needs.

Features include:

• Fully automatic specimen height measurement
• All test fixtures can be mounted in a drip pan to minimize splash and cleanup
• Accurate, low force load cells down to 500g full scale
• Automatic load cell recognition and calibration eliminates weights and calibration errors
