New E-Z Tec DSP Metal Detectors Feature High Sensitivity, Touch-Screen Interface

Extremely sensitive E-Z Tec® DSP Metal Detectors from Eriez® detect ferrous, nonferrous and stainless steel contaminants. This state-of-the-art metal detector, which features advanced digital signal processing, is ideal for customers in the food, textile, pharmaceutical, rubber, chemical and many other industries.

This sophisticated metal detector features the highest level of sensitivities available for dry, wet and liquid product processing. It utilizes a standard three-coil aperture arrangement to send a signal to the unit's control for digital processing.

According to Eriez, E-Z Tec DSP Metal Detectors were designed for optimum performance and improved product purity. "Several unique features make this the easiest to use fine particle industrial metal detector on the market," said John Klinge, Product Manager-Metal Detection. He explains, "The use of Digital Signal Processing, or DSP, aids in detection of metallic contaminants, particularly in wet or conductive products such as meats and cheeses."

E-Z Tec DSP's Touch Screen (1/4 VGA) Interface allows users to view multiple line items at a glance, making setup, monitoring and operation straightforward and simple. All numeric data and value entries are made through onscreen calculator type interfaces, eliminating the need to scroll through long lists.

For improved function and simplified diagnostics, the electronics for the E-Z Tec DSP have been consolidated and multiple detectors can be monitored and controlled from a single PC, providing plant-wide access to data and reports. Remote diagnostics, as well as company-wide control and monitoring, is easily added by installing Eriez' free E-Z Link? software.

The E-Z Tec DSP's multi-language capability allows users to select two secondary languages to improve the operator's ease of use. English is the primary language.
