Lock's Newly Launched 3F

February 17, 2007

Representing the most advanced metal detection technology on the market today, Lock's new Met 30+ 3f promises to set new performance standards for even the most challenging applications.

The Met 30+ 3f operates at three crystal tuned frequencies – high, medium, and low. The Automatic Frequency Selection facility will choose the optimum frequency – whatever the product or packaging. For example, when inspecting polywrapped product the detector will automatically select high frequency, whereas for a product packaged in metallized film it will operate at low frequency. This means that manufacturers can pass polywrapped and metallized film wrapped products through one machine, rather than operating two machines at different frequencies.

Fitted to the Met 30+, the touchscreen allows data from Lock's ADC software to be viewed from the detector rather than a networked PC or laptop. ADC takes transmitted and received signals from the metal detector and translates the data into graphical format on the PC screen, so providing operational and maintenance staff with a powerful on-screen diagnostic tool. If, for example, a detector is triggering false rejections, the operator can widen the detection parameters displayed on the touchscreen to eliminate disturbance.
