LOCK INSPECTION SYSTEMS will be showcasing its new INSIGHT range of metal detectors for the food and packaging industries at this year's Eastpack show. The INSIGHT, which is being formally launched this year, is the culmination of many months of development.

A growing trend within in the food and packaging industries is the integration of production and inspection machinery to enable safe, efficient manufacture and packaging of their products. LOCK continues to blaze the trail for easy integration, and the INSIGHT is offered with advanced plug and play architecture featuring an array of new communications options – USB, SCADA, WIRELESS and STANDARD ETHERNET - designed to meet the requirements of both systems integrator and manufacturer to equal degree.

Performance enhancing benefits are the result of an Integrated Digital Head and advanced OPTIX detector management software. They include higher sensitivity to all metal types along with improved stability to vibration and complex product signals.

INSIGHT is delivered with an all-new user-friendly HMI (membrane or colour touchscreen options are available) incorporating DDS (Direct Digital Signal) viewer. Initially available in pharmaceutical and horizontal head specification, gravity fed throat type and pipeline versions will follow later this year.

Experts from LOCK will be available in booth 3312 to offer advice and answer questions on the INSIGHT range. An Insight 3f/hf horizontal metal detector will be on display as well as pipeline, vertical fall, and waferthin metal detectors. The Met30+ pipeline metal detector offers reliable sensitivity for a wide variety of products at ambient, chilled, or high temperatures across a broad range of flow rates and for all industry standard pipe sizes. The Met30+Universal vertical fall metal detector has automatic noise filtering and the ability to select the correct frequency for each product to ensure the best possible detection performance at all times. The Met30+ Universal waferthin metal detector has a compact design to fit in tight spaces while still retaining high quality control standards.
