Tri-Clover Inc. of fittings, tubing and components from <%=company%>
features the AL-6XN alloy, which helps prevent crevice corrosion, pitting, and stress corrosion cracking in sanitary process applications. The alloy is composed of chromium, nickel and molybdenum. It meets ASME and ASTM specifications, and is approved by the USDA for use as a food contact surface.
The alloy is well-suited for applications involving chloride ions and heat in high acid process environments, applications involving liquids processed at temperatures approaching and exceeding 200 degrees Fahrenheit, and clean-in-place operations where the sodium hypochlorite used in CIP solutions can lead to pitting and corrosion.
Products featuring the alloy include Tri-Clamp and Tri-Weld fittings and tubing in sizes ranging from 1" to 3". Fittings are available in polished or unpolished finishes.
