What are the biggest challenges for Eriez in today's marketplace?
Our biggest challenge is finding the individuals faced with solving contaminant or material handling problems then communicating Eriez unique abilities to help solve these issues. We have a decade's worth of experiences in increasing profitability, reducing downtime, and improving product value that our customers can employ to improve their competitive position in the marketplace.
How would you characterize Eriez' product line to someone who is not familiar with your product offerings?
Eriez equipment is used to remove metallic contamination that could affect product purity or produce fires and explosions, to concentrate valuable materials and solve material movement, separation, detection, and classification problems.
How has the increased number of International manufacturing plants affected sales and marketing?
Eriez is able to capitalize on specific expertise and manufacturing benefits associated with each of our affiliates. This global positioning has enabled us to offer more cost competitive products opening up marketing opportunities we had previously never realized. The knowledge sharing from so many unique market perspectives enable Eriez to develop state of the art solutions to many contamination issues and solve them globally for our customers who have a global presence.
How many International facilities does Eriez have? Where are they located?
Eriez has nine manufacturing affiliates around the world. Our facilities are located in Mexico, Europe, Japan, Brazil, Australia, South Africa, and India with two in China.
Explain to us how the Eriez Technology Center assists new clients to test products before purchasing equipment from Eriez? How many clients each week visit the Technology Center?
We typically provide between 400 & 500 separate customer material evaluations in our 20,000 square foot R & D Center each year. Our ability to demonstrate the breadth of our product line and effectiveness of our equipment provide our customers with a comfort level unmatched by our competitors. When our customers see our equipment perform more often than not we find contamination never expected within their products exceeding performance expectations.
What markets are the most important to Eriez?
Eriez is uniquely positioned to solve problems in many industries but traditionally our largest market potential falls within our sanitary products line that service the Food, Pharmaceutical, and Chemical industries.
Is there a new product offering from Eriez that you expect significant interest from in the next 3-6 months? If so, why?
Eriez is releasing its newest line X-ray equipment to compliment our extensive line of contaminant removal technology. Our best in class design will lead the industry in reliability and sensitivity for real time inspection of products to confirm count, mass, fill level and detect broken or damaged products. Our detection ability includes not only ferrous and non ferrous metal but stone, glass, bone and certain plastics.
How would you characterize Eriez' current position in the market?
Eriez is the leader in tramp metal contamination removal as we offer the industries most complete line of tramp metal removal equipment. Magnetic, Metal Detection, and X-Ray technologies provide our customers with the most solutions to a variety of contamination problems.
Eriez also offers the most complete line of electromagnetic vibratory feeders. From easy to sanitize tube feeders to tablet de-dusting provide unique material handling solutions using electromagnet technology.
What is the biggest obstacle for today's pharmaceutical equipment manufacturers?
Communicating unique contaminant removal or material handling solutions to the individuals who would benefit most from these discoveries is constant source of frustration. Quality assurance and Engineering personnel are challenged daily with an ever increasing work load and time constraints that hinder their ability to search out new and unique solutions to existing problems only Eriez may be able to solve.
