Eriez® Announces Partnership With The Foremost Expert On Low Energy X-Ray Technology

Eriez® announces a new partnership with renowned physicist Richard Parmee, founder of Cheyney Design and Development (CDD) and the Sapphire Alliance. Parmee is recognized as the global authority on low energy x-ray technology.

"This collaboration will help us bring the food and pharmaceutical industry the most state-of-art cabinet x-ray machines available today," said Ray Spurgeon, Eriez Product Manager-Inspection Systems. "When you combine the experience of Mr. Parmee and Eriez, we have supplied the food industry with inspection equipment for more than 60 years," he added.

Parmee has perfected the adaptive algorithms that are employed in Eriez E-Z Tec® XR brand of x-ray machines. Eriez' skilled engineers will design the cabinet and conveyor that will house Parmee's components. According to Terri Koebe, Eriez-North America Purchasing Manager, Eriez will source all electronic and mechanical parts domestically to ensure that customers' needs for spare parts are met quickly and reliably.

Parmee said that he initially considered several North American manufacturers to market his technology, but Eriez quickly stood out.
