Anritsu X-Ray Systems Rated #1 In Accuracy, Reliability And Ease Of Use
February 22, 2008
Anritsu Industrial Solutions USA Inc.'s new KD7400 Series X-Ray Systems for food inspection recently earned top ratings in tests conducted by the Danish Meat Association. Based on contaminant detection, stability and ease of operation, the KD7400 was selected as the best of six inspection systems. Tests performed by the Association included detecting small pieces of bone, stainless steel, plastic and glass contaminants in pork products.
The KD7400 represents the third upgrade of Anritsu's model. Trusted and accepted by processors worldwide, more than 5,000 Anritsu x-ray systems have been installed to date. Anritsu's system automatically detects metal contaminants as small as .4mm sphere and .2mm dia. X 2mm long wire in a variety of applications. This system employs advanced sensor and image processing technology to automatically and simultaneously detect contaminants, underweight conditions and other packaging anomalies. A masking function allows items, such as clips on sausages and metallic packaging, to be ignored as they pass through the inspection system. Features of the KD7400 include a full suite of 20 versatile imaging algorithms, including Mass Measurement (with an accuracy of +/- 1g to 10g) as standard. Product set-up, including x-ray power settings, reject timing, contaminant algorithms and mass measurement weighing is accomplished by following an easy to understand set-up wizard. The interlocked conveyor guarding, rollers, drives and belt can be removed for cleaning and maintenance in under 30 seconds. Ethernet connections, USB data collection and historical data collection are standard.
